another book done!

Phew, so glad to have my 2008 blurb book done. This time I nixed the fancy backgrounds and made my life a whole lot easier with just plain black. A lot less decision making and brain stumping = getting it done MUCH faster. I'm so happy to have 2 sitting on my shelf, and I really hope I can stay on top of this every year!

"Augustus Woop"

Harry Potter has taken a rest lately at our house, and in its place is Charlie and the Chocolate Factory. His new favorite. He loves the original as well as the new Johnny Depp version. He has also taken a new liking to chocolate bars since discovering this movie. He asks for them daily and if I gave in as much as he would like, we just might have our very own Augustus Goop!

this is real.

This goes out to all the Bachelorette fans out there---

Don't you think it would be so much more interesting to watch, instead of all these ritzy glamorous dates (that will most likely never happen again as soon as its over) Picture this: snuggling (just feet) together on the couch, greasy hair pulled back in a bun, sweats, t shirt, no makeup, and toilet paper wadded up both nostrils due to a nasty cold? Yes, that was me and my honey watching our shows tonight. What a lucky, lucky man.

Jeremy, would you please accept this rose????????????? Please?!

brayden

My friend Brittany took this picture, and I love it. It totally captures Brayden's personality. He is so full of life!

fresh lemonade

Please don't mind the half naked juicer. That's just the way he prefers to be. I had some more risque shots that I couldn't use!

One of Jer's vacant properties had an enormous lemon tree with heavy drooping branches. It was just begging to be picked. So, we came home with a ton of lemons and the boys were thrilled to make fresh lemonade! It was soooo good. I had no idea how much sugar is in lemonade, yowza.

moving on...

Nothing special to report, just tired of looking at the below post. Needed a change of scenery. Yes, this adorable green tongued-boy will do. I have no idea who he got that pointy tongue from.

NO no no no no no no

It happened again. It hasn't happened since high school. And slowly over time my wounds have healed and I {almost} forgot that they even existed. That is until today, walking by a woman in church and she stops me, says she had to ask my name because her daughter mentioned that I remind her of Tori Spelling. Heart drops. Wounds break open. No, no, no, no, no I say.....if you love me, or even just like me a little, please don't ever tell me I look like Tori. Thanks. Now excuse me while I go cry.

today i...

took one homesick little boy to school, but I felt grateful because he can go to school.

I came home and made breakfast for another cute little boy, and I felt grateful that I could.

I started my laundry for the day, and I felt grateful I have a washer.

I cleaned my bathrooms while talking to a good friend..she always makes it go faster. And I felt grateful for my friends.

I made my bed and looked over at my husbands mess, but I felt grateful that I have a loving husband.

I vacuumed, dusted, and picked up toys, and I felt grateful that I have a home.

I gave in to one "hungwy" little boy when he ate all his food and requested mine at lunch, and I felt grateful that I have a hungry growing boy.

I cooked & cleaned & folded clothes, and I felt grateful for a healthy functioning body that can.

I played Twister with my boy (who only likes the yellow spots) and I felt grateful for his energy.

I laid him down for a nap, and I felt grateful for his peaceful sleep.

I watched his dimpled face as he laughed at the table, and I felt so grateful I could see.

Mondays are the most hectic day of the week for me. But after watching Seven Pounds this weekend, and also an episode of Friday Night Lights where one of the main characters becomes paralyzed, I am feeling a lot less stressed and a lot more grateful for my life. Very grateful.
