grandpa turns 50.

Jer's dad had his 50th birthday and we decided to take him to a Suns game. They put his name up on the scoreboard and we all got Suns backpacks. Fun night.

family hike.

One of the things to do on our Spring Break list was a family hike. The kids were more excited about it than they were about any of the other places we went to. I've been whining to Jer that I really want to make an effort to be more of an outdoorsy family, so when my friend told me about the {kid friendly} Hieroglyphics trail in Gold Canyon, we made the trek. It was such a beautiful day, warm with a cool breeze. I loved it so much. The kids loved it too, there was no whining or complaining. It was a lovely day.

Kosty found a cozy niche in this smooth rock wall and relaxed in the sunshine.

I thought they were crazy to go inside this cave, it was deep, and very dark in there.

cede & mark's wedding

Jeremy's little sister Cede got married on the 12th of March. She and Mark are a perfect match, I'm so happy for them. The sealing was sweet & very emotional, she looked perfect, it was a beautiful day. It's crazy to think she was just 10 years old at our wedding, she feels just like a little sister to me.

Mark has a whole slew of brothers and its the 'Lindblom tradition' to have a bull at the reception. I thought it was super fun and it gave everyone something to do! My boys (mostly Brayden) were obsessed with it and rode it as many times as they could! Cede even rode it in her wedding dress.

spring break day one.

Last night we made a list of Spring Break to-do's:

• Peter Piper (yay)
• Zoo
• Museum
• Hike
• Jump Street
• Bike rides
• Friends over
• Outside Mall

We went to Peter Piper today, zoo trip tomorrow. We are always here during our very lengthy Spring Break. I always try real hard not to be jealous of all the other families going out of town. It would be fun. BUT we are going to make the most of our typical staycation. I want to be more of an outdoorsy family. I've been set on going on a family hike for weeks. Hopefully we can finally pull it off. Today on the way to Peter Piper, we pulled up right next to a cop car. Brayden said, "Kosty. Just keep reading and act natural."

Oh yeah, and my house is already trashed.

I'm such an oddball in this brunette clan ;)

We had Cede's bridal shower at our house a couple weeks ago. She asked me to make the tissue poms and they were surprisingly very easy! She gets married TOMORROW. Crazy.

I'm so proud of Kosty! He can write his name now! He came in our room on Sunday with this little notebook, its the first official time he's done it with NO help.

I need to record my frustrating moments more. Not that I want to dwell on them, but they are a part of life. I was furious with these boys today. There is a neighborhood t-ball league going on and they refused to go to practice or be a part of it. I slammed my door and put myself in a time-out after yelling at them and calling them 'ungrateful brats'.

"I used to BEG my mom to sign me up for things!" I told them. Why should I have to BEG them to sign up for fun things? Not cool. Later, Kosty slammed his door and I had to go apologize for my terrible example and tell him its not ok to slam doors... I shouldn't do it, and neither should he.

Goodness, parenting is tough sometimes. That's all.
